Trace any bitmap, copy, paste.

Fill with color and choose "Export Color Bitmap".

 

Open this solid color bmp in your Auto Digitizing or embroidery digitizing software (any brand) and generate stitches.

 

In this example I used AutoPunch and the gradation function in PE-Design 8.
